The first process is a white etching. As you can see in the picture of Mother Mary and Christ, such fine detail is created throughout the piece. Against the stainless steel backing, the white marks stand out beautifully. If you put the piece up to a magnifying glass, you will be able to see a multitude of miniscule white dots that make up the image. Also, the color laser process enables us to add shading and depth, which before we could not. Within a matter of seconds, a magnificent quality image is created. The gray parts throughout the image are simply the stainless steel backing showing through. Think of pictures that you see in newspapers. The process that they use is called “dot-screening”. If you look closely, without a magnifying glass, you are able to see the tiny dots that make up the photograph. The process that newspapers use is a lesser quality because they need to run thousands of copies of papers at a time. Our laser technology is much more fine than that. With that said, a much more crisp, brilliant image is achieved through our process.
